Hi there – I’m Sam Aidaraliev, the founder of A+ Appliance Repair and Maintenance. Born on June 24, 1991, in a small town with big dreams (and even bigger appliances), I didn’t exactly grow up dreaming of fixing refrigerators… but life had a better plan.
After graduating from college with a degree in accounting (thanks, Mom and Dad), I spent a year in a bank learning two very important lessons:
1. Office life wasn’t for me.
2. I really don’t like wearing ties.
So, I pivoted—and that’s when my hands got dirty (in the best way). I started working in skilled trades at age 21: air duct cleaning, deck building, handyman jobs, carpet cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, you name it. I even drove a school bus for a while (which should qualify anyone for sainthood), and did a stint in Uber and truck driving. But the one thing I kept coming back to was fixing things—especially things that matter to families: ovens that won’t cook, dryers that don’t dry, fridges that turn into saunas.
Fixing appliances felt like magic. I could walk into someone’s home with a tool bag and leave them with a working machine and a smile. Over the years, I’ve visited over 9,000 homes helping families across Chicago, Maryland, Virginia, Los Angeles, and beyond, solving problems with everything from clogged vents to busted compressors.
In January 2015, I founded A+ Appliance Repair and Maintenance as a one-man show. I did the repairs, answered the phone, restocked parts, and yes, I even cleaned out my own van. But everything changed in 2021, when I was about to become a dad for the first time. I knew I had to build something bigger—not just for me, but for my growing family. That’s when I started hiring and training technicians who shared the same passion for quality work.
Since then, our company has served over 12,000 happy clients, and we’ve earned more than 1,300 five-star reviews (and counting). We now serve customers in Chicago IL, Los Angeles CA, Houston TX, Fairfax VA, and Washington DC.
