We fix Atosa MBF series reach-in refrigerators and freezers, prep tables, undercounters, worktops, chef bases, merchandisers and walk-ins. We also repair Atosa ice makers and blast chillers. On the cooking side we work on the CookRite line, including gas ranges, fryers, broilers and wok ranges, plus Atosa combi ovens.

Atosa USA is based in Brea, California. Its reach-ins have become a common sight in newer restaurants, ghost kitchens and cafes. Many owners picked Atosa for the price and the stainless build. We see the brand most in Los Angeles, but it turns up in every market we serve.

How Atosa MBF reach-ins are built

Many MBF models put the compressor on top. That pulls in cleaner air than a unit at floor level, which helps in a kitchen full of fryer grease. They run on R290 refrigerant and use an electronic temperature controller. Some models use a variable capacity compressor that speeds up and slows down to match the load.

That design shapes how they fail. A top unit still collects grease and dust over time. When it does, the box warms up slowly over a few days. Cleaning the condenser often fixes it.

Symptoms we see on Atosa units

• Controller shows the wrong temperature. The probe may be loose or failing. We compare it with our own reading.
• Box warm, fans quiet. The evaporator fan motor inside the cabinet has stopped.
• Frost on the back panel. A failed defrost or a door that does not shut all the way.
• Prep table rail warm. Lids left open, or poor airflow to the pans.
• CookRite burner will not light. A clogged pilot or a worn thermocouple is common on busy ranges and fryers.

R290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant. Leak and compressor repairs on it take care and the right tools. We follow that process every time.

Wok ranges and fryers on the hot line

Atosa wok ranges put out a lot of heat in a small space. The burners take a pounding from spills, oil and water. A wok burner that roars but will not hold a flame often has a clogged orifice or a weak pilot. CookRite fryers have their own list. Slow heat recovery, pilots that drop out and a high limit that keeps tripping are the calls we see most.

What the visit costs and how it goes

Ring us early, and we can usually make it over that day. The tech tests the unit and names the problem. You get a locked price before any work. Our $149 business diagnostic is waived if you approve it.

Atosa parts we install are genuine OEM, and they come with our repair warranty. If a part has to be shipped, your next visit is booked before we head out. You will not have to call around to find out when we are coming back. We send only licensed, insured techs with clean background checks.

Repair or replace an Atosa cooler?

Atosa sells at a value price. So we keep the repair cost in view. Controllers, fans, probes and gaskets are nearly always worth fixing.
