What Thor Kitchen appliances can we fix?

We fix the whole Thor Kitchen lineup. That starts with gas, dual fuel, electric and induction ranges from 24 to 60 inches. It also covers rangetops, cooktops, wall ovens and warming drawers. On the cold side, we fix French door and panel-ready refrigerators and wine coolers. Dishwashers, range hoods and built-in microwaves round it out. The Gordon Ramsay collection is covered too.

Thor Kitchen started in 2015. It brought the pro range look to a lower price point. In 2024 it teamed up with chef Gordon Ramsay on a line of ranges, refrigerators and dishwashers. So most Thor appliances we see are fairly new. That is good news for repairs.

Thor range and oven trouble, and what causes it

The range is the heart of a Thor kitchen, and it gets the most calls. Here is what our range repair techs find most often.

• Burner clicks but won't light. Grease or a boil-over has soaked the igniter, which is the small white spark tip. Sometimes the burner cap is just out of place.
• Constant clicking after the burner lights. Water has reached the spark switch behind the knob, or the spark module is failing.
• Oven heats slowly or runs cold. On gas models, a weak hot surface igniter is the usual cause. It glows but does not draw enough current to open the gas valve.
• Convection oven bakes unevenly. The fan motor at the back of the oven has slowed or stopped.
• Electric oven stays cold. Our first checks are the bake and broil elements and the temperature sensor.

Before you call, look at the burner caps. Lift each one and set it back flat. It fixes more clicking burners than you would guess.

Refrigerator, dishwasher and hood calls

A Thor refrigerator that runs warm most often has a frozen-over evaporator, the cold coil behind the freezer wall. That points to a failed defrost heater or sensor. A fridge that clicks every few minutes but never cools may have a bad start relay on the compressor.

For dishwasher repair, the common Thor calls are water left in the bottom, dishes coming out wet, and a door that leaks at the corner. We check the filter and drain pump, the heating element and the door gasket. Thor hoods mostly need fan motors, switches or LED lights. Our vent hood repair team handles all of them.

Should I repair or replace my Thor range?

For most Thor ranges, repair wins. The common failures are igniters, spark modules, fan motors and sensors. Those are small parts, and the fix is quick. The range body and burners are heavy stainless steel and rarely wear out.

Replacement makes more sense when the oven cavity is cracked, or the gas valve and control board both fail at once. If that happens, we price both paths and the call is yours.
