On many LG ovens, ProBake Convection moves the main element to the rear wall. A fan blows across it. Heat then reaches each rack from the back.
That changes how we test. A cold ProBake oven sends us to the back panel, not the floor. We check the rear element, the fan motor and the relay that feeds them.
You can buy an LG wall oven as a single, a double or a combination model. The combination type stacks a convection microwave over a full size oven. Air Fry shows up on many LG ovens too. Some have an InstaView window. Knock twice and the light comes on.
LG lists both of these on its range and oven code page. They tell you the oven is not heating the way it should.
LG's first step is simple. Press clear, then try again. If the code returns, turn the breaker off for 30 seconds. If it still returns, the oven needs service.
When we arrive, we look for the cause.
ProBake leans on its fan. If the fan is slow, the back of the oven runs hot and the front runs cool. Cookies show it first. We test fan speed and listen for a dry bearing. A door gasket with a gap will also pull the front temperature down.
Air Fry uses the same fan at high speed. Weak air fry results often trace back to that motor.
LG EasyClean is a short cycle. It uses water and low heat to loosen soil in about ten minutes. It is gentle on parts.
The high heat self clean cycle is harder on an oven. The door lock motor has to work. The thermal safety parts must survive the heat. If your door stays locked after a clean, or the oven is dead the next day, a lock or a thermal part has likely failed. We can open the door without harm and replace what broke.
The upper microwave in a combination unit is its own machine. It can stop heating while the lower oven is fine. Door switches and the high voltage parts are the usual cause up top. We service both halves in one trip.
Pick any day. Visits start as early as 6 AM and the last is at 9 PM. Most oven jobs are booked for the same day. The tech finds the fault for $79 at a home address. You get a fixed quote with parts and labor next. Agree to it and the $79 goes away. Our techs are licensed and insured and have cleared a background check. The oven repair comes with a warranty. A+ is an independent service company.
