Open an Asko and you see steel almost everywhere. The tub, racks, spray arms, filters and the inner door are all steel. Asko calls this 8 Steel. Even the base and the feet are metal.
For repair, that is good news. Spray arms do not split. Racks do not rust through in five years. What wears out are the moving and electric parts below the tub. That is where our tech spends the visit. Our Asko appliance repair page explains the brand's history.
A little water in the filter cup is normal. An inch across the tub floor is not. Here is the order we check things.
You can do the first step. Twist out the filters and rinse them. If the water still sits there after the next cycle, the fault is deeper.
Many Asko models dry in two stages. A fan pushes moist air out first. Then the door opens a crack by itself and room air does the rest. Asko names this Turbo Combi Drying.
So a wet load has a few causes. The fan may have failed. The door opener may be stuck, so the door stays shut and steam settles back on the plates. The heater may not be warming the final rinse. An empty rinse aid tank matters too. We test each one. We do not guess.
A puddle in front of an Asko usually starts at the door seal or with too much soap. Suds climb the door and slip past the seal. Use less detergent and see if it stops.
Water below the tub is caught in the base pan. A float there shuts off the fill and may run the drain pump nonstop. If your Asko drains and drains with the door open, there is water in that pan. The source may be a hose clamp, the circulation pump seal or the inlet valve. We dry the pan and find the drip.
The circulation pump feeds the spray arms. When that pump is weak, the top rack suffers first. Grit on glasses is the sign. Blocked spray holes cause the same thing, so we pull the arms and flush them.
Low fill is another cause. A weak inlet valve lets in too little water, and the pump sucks air. You may hear a surge and fade sound during the wash.
Some models have a Status Light. It shows at a glance if the cycle is on or done. If the light blinks in a new way, the machine has logged a fault. Note what it does and what the display says. Do not rely on a code chart from another model, because Asko changes them by series.
A+ is a family owned, independent repair shop that started in 2015. We open the Asko schedule at 6 AM and close the Asko schedule at 9 PM, daily. Online booking is open too. We reach most homes the same day.
The tech runs a test cycle and checks the base pan. The diagnostic for a home is $79. You get a fixed Asko repair price, labor and parts included, and then you decide. If we do the repair, we waive the $79. Asko dishwasher techs are licensed and insured, and A+ runs a background check on each. Every Asko repair comes with a warranty. Drain pumps and inlet valves are common stock. Boards and door openers may ship in.
With a steel tub and steel racks, an Asko is a good machine to keep. A pump, valve, heater or seal is a fair repair even at ten years. Panel-ready models also hold your cabinet panel, which may not fit another brand.
