ILVE sells a 30 inch single wall oven in the US. It holds 4.4 cubic feet. It is a pyrolytic oven, which means it cleans itself by burning soil to ash at very high heat. A TFT touch display runs every function. The oven has a food probe and a Sabbath setting. The door has four panes of glass and a soft-close hinge.
The wall oven you can buy today wears the Nostalgie look. Many owners pair it with a Majestic range or cooktop and call it a Majestic oven. The parts inside are what count, and we repair them all. Self-clean is the hardest thing a wall oven does. The cavity gets far hotter than it does for baking. The door locks until it cools. Parts near the top of the oven soak in that heat for hours.
After a clean cycle, we often find one of these. The door lock motor has stuck, so the door will not open. A thermal fuse has blown, so the oven is dead. The cooling fan has failed, so the control shuts down to protect itself. Or the control board above the cavity has cooked. If your oven died during or right after a clean, tell us. It points us straight at those parts.
The whole oven runs from the touch display. When it fails, you cannot set a thing. A blank screen with the oven light still working points at the display or its cable. A screen that lights but will not take a touch may need a new panel. Random beeps and resets often trace to a power board. Before you call, shut the breaker off for one full minute. Turn it back on. A control will sometimes clear a fault on its own. If the fault comes back, the part is failing.
Four panes of glass make a heavy door. The soft-close hinges carry that weight each time you cook. When a hinge weakens, the door drops a little and gaps at the top. Heat pours out and the oven runs long. A flat or torn seal does the same thing. Both ILVE hinges get changed together, and a hard old seal gets changed with them. If glass inside the door has fogged or cracked, we can change the pane.
A wall oven diagnostic costs $79 at your home. We waive the $79 as soon as the oven quote is approved. That oven quote is a set figure. Labor and every part are in it. A wall oven is wired straight into the house, and some jobs need it slid out of the cabinet. Tell us how high yours is mounted so we can plan for that.
