ILVE builds wall mount hoods to pair with each of its range styles. There are Majestic, Nostalgie, Professional Plus and Panoramagic hoods. They are sized to the range below, with 30, 36 and 40 inch models among them. ILVE rates the blower at 600 CFM. The fan has three speeds plus an intensive boost. A light bar with LEDs runs along the front edge. A chimney cover hides the duct, and ILVE sells extensions for tall ceilings.

A hood that sounds fine yet pulls poorly rarely has a bad motor. Nine times in ten, the air path is blocked. Start with the metal grease filters. Hold one up to a light. If you cannot see through it, it needs a wash. Most can go in the dishwasher.
Next comes the duct. A damper flap sits where the duct leaves the hood, and another at the outside wall. Grease can glue either one shut. A duct that was crushed or run too long also chokes the air. Hold a sheet of paper towel up to the filters on high speed. The hood should grip it firmly. If it falls, the air is not moving.
Heat and grease kill hood motors. The motor sits right in the stream of hot, oily air. Over years, grease works into the bearings and they start to drag. The motor runs hot, hums and then stops. Clean filters slow this down a great deal. So does running the fan for a few minutes after you finish cooking. That clears the damp, greasy air before it settles inside.
A big ILVE range puts out a lot of heat. With several brass burners on high, the hood has real work to do. Use the intensive speed for searing and wok work, then drop back.
Your tech pulls the filters, checks the damper and runs each speed. We measure the motor's draw and test the capacitor. Then we check the lights and the control. A hood diagnostic at a home costs $79. We drop that $79 once the hood repair is approved. The hood price is set first and takes in labor and parts. Hood techs here hold a license and insurance. Each one has cleared a background check. Common motors and capacitors ride on the truck, but ILVE trim parts may ship from Italy.
An ILVE hood is painted or plated to match the range, often in a custom color. That alone makes repair the smart path. Motors, capacitors, switches and drivers are all fair jobs.
