DCS sold electric wall ovens to go with its ranges and cooktops. The WOSV230 is a single oven. The WODV230 is a double, with two full ovens stacked in one frame. Older DCS wall ovens are in plenty of homes too. All of them mount in a cabinet, away from the cooktop. The line now carries the Fisher and Paykel Professional badge, as our DCS brand page explains. When these ovens find a problem, they stop every function. They beep five times and put a code on the screen. Write the code down. A1 means the oven got too hot. Let it cool, and the code should clear once the door releases. A2 is a door lock error. The latch could not lock at the start of a clean cycle. Do not shut off the breaker while the oven is hot. The cooling fans need power to protect the parts and your cabinets. If a code comes back, that is when we step in.
The word LOCKED on the screen means the control panel lock is on. Hold the ACCEPT button to clear it. A display that works with no heat at all can mean demo mode. That is a showroom setting. Warm air from the vents after shutoff is the cooling fans doing their job. And the knob halo stays white until the oven is truly ready. It turns orange with a long tone.
Most lock faults show up right after a clean cycle. The heat is hard on the latch and the boards. Take out the shelves, the side racks and the meat probe first. Wipe the inner door glass by hand. Soil left on the glass bakes on for good. On a double oven, only one side can clean at a time. The other side will not run until it is done. If the door glass is cracked or the seal is torn, skip the cycle and call us.
A wall oven often has to come partway out of the cabinet. Our techs bring the gear to do that safely and protect the floor. They test elements, the sensor, both fans, the lock and the boards. For a home, the diagnostic is $79. You then get a firm price that includes parts and labor. When you approve it, we take the $79 off. No oven maker owns us. Usually yes. The cabinet cutout was made for this oven. Some other maker's oven could sit loose in that hole or miss the trim lines. Elements, sensors, fans and lock parts are all fair repairs.
