Dacor makes one size of dishwasher, 24 inches wide. You can get it with a stainless front or ready for a cabinet panel. The tub is stainless steel and holds up to fourteen place settings. There is a third rack up top for forks, knives and long tools. The middle rack moves up or down to fit tall plates.
Three named parts do most of the work. WaterWall sends a wall of high-pressure water across the tub from the bottom. ZoneBooster aims five extra nozzles at one area for heavy pots. AutoRelease pops the door open when the cycle ends so steam can leave. The newest panel-ready model also has a sliding door hinge so the panel clears the toe-kick.
Standing water tops our list of Dacor dishwasher calls. Your first stop is the filter set into the tub floor. Food and glass bits pack into it over time. If the filter is clean, the drain pump is next. A seed, a toothpick or a bit of broken glass can jam the pump. The motor hums but no water moves.
The drain hose matters too. It may be kinked behind the unit or clogged where it joins the sink drain. If a new disposer was put in, the plug inside its inlet may still be there. We check all of that before we blame the pump.
When the lower rack comes out gritty, we look at the WaterWall parts first. If that spray is blocked or weak, the back of the tub gets no water. Clogged spray arm holes cause the same trouble on the upper rack. A weak wash motor lowers pressure everywhere.
Wet dishes are a drying fault. If the door no longer pops open at the end, the AutoRelease latch has likely failed. A bad heater or vent fan will also leave water on cups. An empty rinse aid tank is the easy cause, so check that first.
Many dishwashers hide a leak sensor down in the base tray. Once water reaches it, the unit stops filling and runs the drain pump. If yours drains nonstop, there is likely water in that pan. Turn off the power and call us.
