Technician was able to repair the refrigerator by replacing the seal and cleaning the motor. He decided that it didn’t need a new fan. Very prompt service.

Amazing service! Emil did such a great job repairing my front loading washer. The door gasket needed to be changed. When I used the washer the next, we still had a leak. He made the extra effort to come back that day and found we also had a leaking hose, which he repaired on the spot. Amazing customer service A+.

A+ Appliance Repair saved Thanksgiving! 🦃 Our refrigerator died TWO DAYS before hosting 20 people. Called in a panic for fridge repair near me and they understood the emergency. Sam came out same-day to our Georgetown Washington DC home, diagnosed a failing compressor, and worked late to fix it. He even helped reorganize our food back in the fridge. These people are lifesavers - professional, fast, and they genuinely care. Worth every penny!

My Kenmore gas wall oven would not heat. When I called, the young lady (Bernadette) that answered was so kind and attentive. Very professional, friendly, and efficient. Found and explained the issue to me, politely asked if I wanted the service for the quoted price and after consent, fixed problem. I was very pleased. Thank you, A+👍🏾

M Series and E Series: how they differ inside

Wolf sells two lines of built-in oven. The M Series has the Dual VertiFlow system. Two fans sit upright in the back, and the oven walls are curved. The racks are curved to match. It has three halogen lights and an LCD touch screen. The E Series uses a standard dual fan layout with regular racks. It has two lights and a color touch screen in a steel panel.

Double ovens differ too. An M Series double has two fans in each oven. An E Series double has them only in the upper oven. We need to know which one you own before we order a fan. Both lines share the same cooking modes, such as Bake, Roast, Broil, Convection, Proof and Gourmet. Both self-clean and both have Wi-Fi.

This page is about ovens built into a wall or tall cabinet. If the oven sits under burners, see Wolf range repair.

Oven will not heat

Wolf suggests three checks, and we repeat them on every call. Was a self-clean run just before? The oven may still be locked out. Is the door closing fully? A rack or a pan can hold it open a crack. Has the breaker been reset for 30 seconds?

After that, the fault is a part. The bake element sits under the floor of the oven. The broil element is in the roof. Either can burn open. We test each with a meter. A relay on the control board can fail and leave a good element dead. The temperature sensor can fail and tell the board the oven is already hot.

Uneven baking and fan noise

With two fans, one can stop and the oven still seems to work. Then cookies on one side brown and the other side stay pale. A fan that squeals or ticks has a worn motor. We change the motor from inside the cavity on most models.

Screen is blank or the oven shuts off

An M Series can look dead when it is only asleep. It has a standby setting that dims the screen. Wolf ovens also shut off after 12 hours of steady use. Sabbath and Dehydrate modes are the exceptions. If neither explains it, we look at the touch screen, the control board and the wiring between them. Power surges are a common cause.

Probe and door problems

A probe message that flashes means the oven cannot read the probe. The jack may be dirty or the probe wire may be broken. Doors on both lines use spring-damper hinges. When a hinge wears, the door drops or will not seal. Heat leaks at the top and bakes the trim. We replace hinges in pairs. If the door is still locked long after self-clean ends, suspect the latch motor.

A short list to try first

  • Cut power at the breaker for 30 seconds.
  • Pull the racks and close the door to see if it seals.
  • Seat the probe firmly, or unplug it.
  • Wake the screen with a firm touch.

What a visit costs

A Wolf wall oven diagnosis runs $79 for a home. Let us do the wall oven repair and the $79 comes off. The wall oven quote is fixed, labor and parts in it, and we wait for your OK. Wall oven visits are often same-day. Book a wall oven visit online, or phone from 6 AM through 9 PM for wall oven help on any day. Every wall oven tech is background checked, and each is licensed and insured. A+ is family owned and independent. A warranty covers the oven repair.

A wall oven fits a cabinet cutout to a fraction of an inch. A new brand may need the cabinet rebuilt. Elements, fans, hinges and sensors are all worth doing. A control board costs more but still beats a remodel. We would talk about replacing if the enamel inside is chipped to bare steel or boards for an old model are gone.

Wolf wall oven calls come from Chicago and nearby Illinois towns. They also come from Houston, from Los Angeles, and from Virginia and D.C. See all the Wolf products we repair or our main oven repair page. Many wall ovens sit over a drawer, so we also do Wolf warming drawer repair. If you use the baking stone mode, keep the stone dry. A wet stone can crack on the next preheat.
