Monogram sells 30 inch wall ovens as singles and doubles. They come in two looks. Statement ovens have a wide handle and brass touches. Minimalist ovens have no handle. You push the door, and it opens by itself. Both have a 7 inch color screen and soft close hinges. There is also a French-door oven, with two side doors that swing out together. Then there are the ovens in Monogram pro ranges. A 48 inch range has a main oven and a smaller one beside it. We repair all of these. Our Monogram appliance repair page has the brand background.
Electric Monogram ovens use several elements. Pro range ovens have six in each cavity. One can fail while the rest keep working. Preheat then takes far too long, or it never ends. We check each element, the relays that feed them and the oven sensor. On an all gas range, a glow igniter lights the oven. Once it weakens it still shines, yet the gas valve stays closed. That is the most common no-heat repair on gas.
Convection moves hot air with a fan at the back wall. In the pro ranges the fan can reverse its spin to even out the heat. When the fan motor fails, one side of the pan browns first. When the ring element around the fan fails, convection bake runs cool. A worn door gasket lets heat spill out the top and burns the back row. We also test the real oven heat against the set point. If it is off by a steady amount, we can often adjust it in the control.
A wall oven is wired to a 240 volt circuit. It may have two breakers tied together. Flip both off, wait a minute and turn them on. This clears many frozen screens. Check that control lock is off. Look at the door gasket for gaps or tears. Do not run self clean on an oven that is already acting up. The high heat can finish off a weak board or lock.
We book online and by phone. A tech can often be there the same day. He brings meters, a temp probe and the common igniters and sensors. A wall oven may need to slide out of the cabinet, and two of us handle that. The home diagnostic runs $79. When you approve the fixed price he gives, that $79 is waived. Parts and labor are both in the price. Our people hold licenses, carry insurance and clear a background check. A+ is a family company and independent. A warranty covers the fix.
A built-in oven is sized to a cabinet cutout and lined up with the trim around it. That tips most choices toward repair. Elements, igniters, sensors, fans, hinges and latches are all worth doing.
