Tanglewood Homes Under the Live Oaks
Tanglewood opened in 1949 just outside the 610 Loop, off San Felipe. It took its name from a Nathaniel Hawthorne book. Early buyers liked its good drainage. The first homes were large one story ranch houses with central air, a new thing at the time.
Since the 1980s, newer homes have replaced most of the ranch houses. Many now have wine cellars, three car garages and large kitchens. Built in fridges, steam ovens and wine coolers are common. Our techs are trained on these units and bring genuine parts. Tanglewood Boulevard is lined with live oaks planted by the local garden club.
