Lombard dryer calls, heat and noise

The newer condos at Lilac Station tend to use stacked, compact laundry pairs. Many of those dryers are ventless. A ventless dryer pulls water out of the air and drains it away. Lint builds up in its heat exchanger, the part that cools the damp air. Then the dryer runs long and the clothes stay damp. That is the call we get most from these units. We clean the exchanger and the drain path. We test the sensor that tells the dryer the clothes are dry. On a vented dryer, we check the vent as well.
